IMPACT Policy
Through the IMPACT Policy, we educate and mobilize communities to understand and influence the policies that shape their daily lives.
What We Do
- We educate, equip, and mobilize communities to understand how policy shapes everyday life. IMPACT teaches people how bills become laws, tracks harmful legislation, and trains advocates, faith leaders, and youth to respond with strategy, power, and clarity. We create accessible toolkits, host policy briefings, and mobilize communities to defend LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive autonomy, mental-health access, and voting power across the South.
Who We Serve
- We serve LGBTQ+ communities, Black women and femmes, faith leaders, youth advocates, and anyone living at the intersection of vulnerability and courage. Our work centers people impacted by discriminatory laws—those often ignored by traditional institutions, politics, and even churches.
Why It Matters
- In states like Tennessee and across the Bible Belt, harmful legislation is not abstract—it’s personal. From the refusal to expand Medicaid, to attacks on reproductive and LGBTQ+ rights, to restrictions on mental-health and HIV prevention funding, communities are carrying the weight. IMPACT is our response to a policy environment that routinely chooses punishment over care. Policy shapes survival; and that’s why we teach people how to fight back with knowledge, strategy, and power; registration and civic engagement to policy briefings and advocacy workshops, IMPACT helps individuals, especially those who are disabled, LGBTQ+, women, or otherwise marginalized, build the knowledge and confidence to speak up and take action. Our goal is to turn awareness into advocacy and advocacy into change.
ENGAGE Community
What We Do
- ENGAGE builds spaces where healing, leadership, and community care intersect. Through convenings, workshops, community conversations, and service-based initiatives, we bring people together to learn, heal, and advocate. ENGAGE hosts community days, leadership sessions, support gatherings, and educational events that center safety, liberation, and belonging.
Who We Serve
- We serve LGBTQ+ individuals, families, Black and brown communities, people living with mental health diagnosis or barriers, reproductive healthcare barriers, racial, gender identity barriers, trauma, faith-rooted community members, and anyone seeking healing and connection outside traditional systems. ENGAGE is built for those who feel unseen, rejected, or silenced.
Why It Matters
- In a country where community resources are shrinking, where healthcare access is uneven and causes harm instead of healing, ENGAGE creates a place where people can come as they are. Connection and conversations are forms of survival. Healing is a form of resistance. And building community power is essential for any long-term change.
FAITH UNFILTERED
What We Do
- Faith Unfiltered is a monthly conversation series that removes the fear, shame, and stigma often tied to religious and spiritual spaces. We create sacred, honest dialogue that blends spirituality, justice, lived experience, and liberation. Through interviews, storytelling, panels, and community discussion, we explore how faith can heal - not harm - and how people can reclaim their spiritual identity on their own terms.
Who We Serve
- We serve LGBTQ+ people, deconstructing and reconstructing believers, spiritual seekers, survivors of church hurt, and anyone questioning what faith can look like outside of fear-based theology. We welcome interfaith leaders, atheists, spiritualists, creatives, organizers, and everyday people who want a space where they don’t have to shrink or hide.
Why It Matters
- For too many people, especially in the South, faith has been used as a weapon. The result is spiritual harm, identity suppression, trauma, and generations of silence. Faith Unfiltered disrupts that narrative. We offer a brave space where people can heal, ask real questions, and reimagine faith through love, justice, liberation, and truth. This matters because spiritual freedom is community freedom and healing the soul helps heal the world around us.
